Geary County Commissioners have approved a local declaration of emergency that could in the future allow the County to receive FEMA reimbursement for storm damage if a federal declaration is issued.
Emergency Manager Gerry Berges noted that there recently has been wind damage in parts of Junction City and 4-6 inches of rain in the Rock Springs area. Public Works personnel were checking on rural road damage.
