RILEY COUNTY—Law enforcement are investigating a suspect for an alleged attack on law enforcement officers.
Just before 4p.m. Tuesday, officers filed a report for two counts of battery of a law enforcement officer and attempted battery on a law enforcement officer in the 1800 block of College Avenue in Manhattan, according to the Riley County Police Department activity report.
On Monday, a 38-year-old man kicked an officer while being restrained on and then battered a corrections officer and attempted to batter another on September 2.
Dylan Peterson, 38, of Manhattan, was arrested on September 2, at approximately 4:14 p.m., on requested charges of battery of a law enforcement officer (university/campus police), battery of a law enforcement officer (county or city officer) and attempted battery on a law enforcement officer. Peterson is being held on a$16,000 bond, according to the RCPD.
