Blue Jays finish second and Lady Jays sixth in the JCHS Invitational

Junction City scored 109 points to finish second in the boys competition at the JCHS Invitational track meet. Manhattan won the team title with 199 points. In girls competition Junction City finished sixth out of eight teams. The Lady Jays scored 66 points while Great Bend won the meet with 209.5 points and Manhattan finished second with 127.

In the individual competition for the Blue Jay boys, Ethan Adguzi-Addo finished second with a jump of 6'o," Tyree Holloway 1st in the long jump at 21'7.50," Rudy Vargas third in the shotput at 47'5" and Keghan McConnell fourth at 45'10," and in the discus McConnell captured first with a throw of 142' and Vargas second at 132'10."

Tyler Atkins won the 1600 meters in 4:24.43, the four by 100 relay finished second in 44.05 and Atkins was second in the 800 meters in 1:59.22.

In girls competition for Junction City, Jayda Harris finished second in the triple jump in 33'3.50" while Ashley Sarabia was third at 31'8.50," Brynna York second in the 1600 meters in 5:47.22, Nhubia Coney first in the 200 meters in 27.70 and the four by 400 relay team finished second in 4:31.02.
