RCPD: Suspects hit victim with baseball bat during robbery

RILEY COUNTY—Law enforcement authorities are investigating an aggravated robbery that occurred just before 4a.m. Sunday near the intersection of S. 5th Street and Fort Riley Blvd. in Manhattan, according to the Riley County Police Department activity report.

A 32-year-old man  reported two unknown suspects hit him with a baseball bat and stole $2,000 cash and a gold chain necklace.

The estimated total loss associated with this case is approximately $2,900. Anyone with information can contact RCPD or the Manhattan Riley County Crime Stoppers. Using the Crime Stoppers service can allow you to remain anonymous and could qualify you for a cash reward of up to $1,000.
