
The 25th annual Mud Bogg is set for Saturday in the 1000 block of Grant Avenue in Junction City. The event serves as a fundraiser for the annual Freedom Fest celebration.
One of the coordinators for Mud Bogg, Eric Boland, said, "It's going to be loud, wild, mud flying everywhere." Drivers from across the midwest will participate, including Kansas, Missouri and Oklahoma.
Gates open at 11 a.m. and competiton begins at 1 p.m. Admission cost is $10 for ages 12 and up, $5 for youth ages 6-11 while 5 and under are admitted free. There will be $5,000 prize money for the event.
There will be food and drinks available.
The mud pit that vehicles will be driven through will be 200 feet long, 30 feet wide and 3 feet deep.
