Clifford Joseph “C.J.” Walsh, 30, of St. George, Kansas, died July 22, 2020, as a result of an automobile accident in Jackson County. He was a life-long resident of the area.
C.J. was born April 28, 1990, in Manhattan, Kansas, the son of Clifford Jay and Bettie Gray Walsh. He attended local schools and graduated from Rock Creek High School.
C.J. was an all-around Handy Man, and enjoyed helping people with whatever job was needed. He also had worked in the coal crew at Jeffries Energy Center. C.J. loved to fish, hunt, trap, and go mudding. He was also know to enjoy blowing things up. He had a heart of gold and was always willing to help someone in need. He will be missed by many friends and family.
C.J. is survived by his parents, Bettie Walsh, St. George and Jay Walsh, Belvue; children; Samaria Walsh, Junction City, Kaleb Walsh, Gainesville, Missouri, Damen Navarro, Gainesville, and Nevaeh Moller, Alma; his siblings, Ashley Bishop (Anthony), Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri, Kristina Stoneburner (Ted), Deridder, Louisiana, and Josh Walsh (Courtney), Belvue; and his paternal grandmother, Jo Walsh, Wamego; and nieces and nephews, Jason, Aubree, Marisa, Jayda, Grayson, Kayson, and Junior. C.J. was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Jerry Walsh and Joseph Gray, and grandmother, Betty Butner.
A Celebration of Life will be held from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm, Sunday, August 2, 2020, at Campanella-Evans Mortuary in Wamego. A memorial service will be held at 7:00 pm. The family suggests memorial contributions to Campanella-Evans Mortuary to help with funeral expenses, and those may be sent in care of the mortuary.
