City addresses issues during Tuesday night meeting

--The Junction City Commission has approved a contract for the City Manager, Kim Zimmerman, that includes a 6% salary increase equal to other non-union employees retroactive to the first payroll of the fiscal  year, and an increase to $800 for a vehicle stipend. 

--An annual city-wide cleanup is scheduled on April 18.

--Commissioners awarded a bid totaling $791,807 to Bayer Constuction for the 12th Street parking lot.

--The governing body awarded a bid for 2.2 miles of 2-inch mill and ovrrlay work on Grant Avenue totaling $1,292,808 to Shilling Construction Company. It must be finished by July.
