Economic contributions for large projects totaling $223,425,000 over the last seven years created 733 jobs in the Junction City - Geary County community. Using a conservative estimate of $18 per hour there was a $27,457,920 increase in new payroll annually.
EDC Director Mickey Fornaro-Dean reported to the city commission that there was a $105 return for every dollar invested in the city and county.
Also, the Chamber of Commerce will host small business essentials sessions on Dec. 10. One session from 9-11 a.m. will focus on a Business Plan Workshop and the other from 1-3 p.m. on a Marketing Workshop.
