Junction City Middle School student Titan Lofgren has had a special summer as he recently attended the Junior National Young Leaders Conference in Washington, D.C. After being nominated for the conference, Lofgren, who is a student ambassador and a member of the National Honor Society at JCMS, joined other students from across the United States at the College Park Marriott Hotel and Conference Center on the campus of the University of Maryland for the six-day program.
During the June conference, Lofgren and others were able to take part in fun and engaging site experiences throughout the D.C. area, while also engaging in hands-on activities, which brought the concepts and skills of effective leadership to life.
The Junior National Young Leaders Conference is the premier leadership development program for middle school students. Students at JrNYLC learn to work together as they develop action plans that they can put into practice in their homes and communities.
