Many in the audience attending the joint city - county - USD 475 meeting Monday are opponents of the proposed live-kill beef processing facility in Junction City. Despite the attendance the elected officials did not discuss the topic. The issue was not on the meeting agenda.
There was conversation about the planned Taylor Road interchange which is believed to be anywhere from three to seven years away from development, and the need for the interchange to serve the development of the southwest area of the city. That interchange would be near the proposed live-kill facility if it is built.
