FORT RILEY - 'Hiring Our Heroes' career summit was held at Fort Riley, connecting service members, their spouses and veterans with employers for careers outside of the military.
Opening remarks from former Staff Sgt. Clint Romesha, a Medal of Honor recipient, and retired Command Sgt. Maj. John Wayne Troxell, who served as the Senior Enlisted Advisor to the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, gave advice to those looking for the next step on their career path, before the start of the career summit.
The career summit included career planning, tips on using digital networking sites, access to assistance with resume writing and how to succeed in an interview.

In the afternoon more than 90 employers were setup to provide information on employment opportunities across the US for transitioning soldiers, their spouses and veterans.
