Dena M. Davis, age 97, of Manhattan, died June 10, 2023, at Ascension Via Christi Village in Manhattan.
She was born March 22, 1926, in Delta, Colorado, the daughter of Walter and Eleanor (Gilmer) Beckley.
On April 16, 1947, in Manhattan, she was married to Dale E. Davis. Mr. Davis preceded her in death on January 16, 2008.
Dena was an excellent homemaker and was a devoted and loving wife, mother and grandmother. She enjoyed crocheting afghans, was an avid reader, collecting Avon bottles and Tupperware, and canned a lot of the produce from their garden.
Survivors include her three children: Michael Davis and his wife Leslie, Kay Poindexter and Scott Davis all of Manhattan; three grandchildren: Lindsay Davis Mack (Jonathan), Breanna Davis (Zack) and Alexandra McNeil (Nick); and two great-grandchildren: Jayce and Maddex McClennan.
Dena was also preceded in death by her son-in-law Max Poindexter; four brothers: Gilmer, Bill, George and Walter Beckley; and two sisters: KateButler and Marylee Edson.
The family would like to thank Ascension Via Christi Village for the wonderful care.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 7:00 p .m. Thursday, June 15th, at the Yorgensen-Meloan-Londeen Funeral Home.
Private family graveside services will be held at the Sunrise Cemetery in Manhattan.
