RILEY COUNTY—Two people were injured in an accident just after 4:30p.m. Sunday in Riley County.
The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2021 Toyota Sienna driven by Samantha D. Keene, 32, Olsburg, was stopped at a stop sign at the intersection of U.S. 24 and Kansas 13. The driver failed to yield the right of way, traveled into the intersection.
Two westbound motorcycles, a 2018 Suzuki driven by Michael V. Antoniato, 30, Riley, and a 2014 Kawasaki driven by Elizabeth N. Cook-Antoniato, 31, Riley, struck the Toyota.
EMS transported Antoniato and Cook-Antoniato to Via Christi in Manhattan for treatment. Keene was not injured and properly restrained at the time of the accident. Antoniato and Cook-Antoniato were not wearing helmets, according to the KHP.
