Geary County Emergency Manhattan reported on Saturday that 20 members of Search and Rescue Task Force 2 from the Manhattan, Junction City, and Topeka Fire Departments were deployed to Marshall County to assist with overnight flash flooding.
Around 30 people were camping this weekend for a Muzzleloader group event along Corndodger Creek near Frankfort. Rain caused the creek to rise quickly- reportedly washing one member of the group away. At this time Saturday all campers had been accounted for and TF 2 members are conducting welfare checks of others in the area.
