KHP seeks public assistance

Kansas Highway Patrol release:

The Kansas Highway Patrol is seeking public assistance -in connection with a  hit-and-run incident. They have announced via social media that are seeking your help as they face challenges in locating the driver and vehicle involved in a hit-and-run incident that occurred on Wednesday, October 4th at approximately 5:03 p.m. on eastbound I-70 milepost 295, just as traffic was entering a construction zone. The location is near the southwest side of Junction City.

**Vehicle 1 Description:- White 2005-2007 Ford F-250 crew cab.- Gold bottom section.- Believed to have a black hood.- Equipped with a black Ranch Hand style brush guard on the front.- Missing or damaged driver side taillight.- Lifted one-three inches over stock configuration.- Tinted windows.- Possible Florida tag with the first letter being G.

Driver Description:- Believed to be a man with a beard. After the crash, the driver of the vehicle fled the scene, leaving behind a seriously injured driver of a second vehicle and their two-year-old daughter, thankfully uninjured. Locating this driver and vehicle presents a significant challenge. They could be a passing motorist or potentially someone who lives or frequently travels through the local area.
