Leonard Joseph Cameron Jr. was born November 24, 1930 in Clyde, Kansas to Leonard Fredrick Sr. and Lena (Girard) Cameron. Leonard grew up in Clay Center, Kansas. He married Charlene Sterrett on March 16, 1952. She preceded him in death on November 7, 2007. Leonard owned and operated an automotive business in Manhattan before moving to Washington state. There he worked as a construction foreman for Snelson’s until retiring and moving back to Kansas in 2003. He later married Thelma Thomas on February 2, 2009. Leonard was a member of Brotherhood of Electric.
He is preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Belinda Sue Cameron; brother, Gene Cameron; and sisters, Mary Williams, Lyla Green, and Lorene Wilford.
It was Leonard’s wishes for cremation to take place with no services to follow.
