Junction City Public Works deals with water main break downtown

UPDATE:

The water line leak that occurred near 7th and Washington in downtown Junction City has been repaired. Water service has been restored. For much of the day Thursday after the line break multiple businesses in the 600 and 700 blocks of North Washington Street were without water.

Junction City Public Works crews continue to work on a major water line break that occurred near 7th and Washington.

At approximately 3:15 pm, Public Works Director Ray Ibarra said personnel were getting to a point where a line could be cut and a new piece could be inserted. Water valves between 6th and 8th Streets were closed. He is hopeful work can be closed early this evening.

Junction City Public Works crews will be repairing a water main break at 7th and Washington Street. Residents from 4th and Washington through 8th and Washington may experience low to no water pressure. Services will be restored once repairs are complete.
