Speakers and Topics Announced for AOK Sunflower Connections in Wamego

The North Central-Flint Hills Area Agency on Aging (NC-FH AAA) is has announced the group of speakers who will participate in the first Answers for Older Kansans (AOK) Sunflower Connections event. The first event that highlights practical information and includes fun for seniors and caregivers is slated for Thursday, Sept. 30 at the Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church, 17535 Say Road, Wamego, Kansas.

Presenters for the event are:

· Paul Shipp, managing attorney at Kansas Legal Services and a veteran elder law attorney: “Managing Your Legal Problems When Your Money Runs Out.”

· Erin Yelland, Interim Director of the Kansas State University Center on Aging and a specialist in adult development: “Positive Aging! Positive Attitude!”

· Cindy Miller, North East Kansas Community Care Navigator at the KU Alzheimer’s Disease Center: “Self-Advocacy in the Healthcare System: What to Say so Others Will Listen.”
