Sandra L. Dietrich, 84, of Junction City, Kansas, died October 13, 2024, at Stormont-Vail Flint Hills Campus in Junction City, Kansas.Sandra was born January 4, 1940 in Albuquerque, New Mexico, to Fred and Jewel Womack. She met the love of her life, Roger L. Dietrich, in El Paso, Texas, whom she later married on February 4, 1961. He died November 6, 2006.
She followed her husband to numerous Army duty stations and worked various jobs making many friends along the way. She settled in Junction City, Kansas, in the 1970's after her husband retired. She enjoyed crocheting, plants, her animals and Mexican food. Her greatest joy were her five grandchildren whom she took care of during their childhood. She loved visits from her great-grandson, Leo, who always made her smile.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Roger, and one grandson, Eric Hurst. She is survived by one son, Mark Dietrich of Clay Center, Kansas; one daughter, Kelly (Jim) Hurst of Dwight, Kansas; five grandchildren, Michelle (Eric) Cox of Overland, Kansas, Michael Dietrich of Ottawa, Kansas, Mitchell Dietrich of Castle Rock, Colorado, Kyle Hurst of Manhattan, Kansas and John Hurst of Manhattan, Kansas; three great grandchildren, Jace Dietrich of Pomona, Kansas, Brooklyn Mills of Pomona, Kansas, Leo Hurst of Manhattan, Kansas; and one brother, Carl Womack of Albuquerque, New Mexico.
