The Geary County Sheriff's Office and Geary County Sheriff Nate Boeckman released the department's report from the second quarter of 2025. (April-June)
According to the report, the average daily population in the Geary County Detention Center was 95 inmates. During the second quarter, the Sheriff's Office announced it conducted 43 prisoner transports.
A total of 376 citations were issued, 188 arrests were made, and a total of 1,324 traffic stops were conducted. There were 16 drug investigations and 17 DUI charges issued. The Sheriff's Office attended to 14 domestic incidents and 15 battery/assault calls.
In total, the department handled 4,432 incidents from April 1 through June 30.
The Geary County Sheriff's Office interdiction team seized 4,816 lbs of marijuana, 415 lbs of cocaine, 6 oz of methamphetamine, and $18,000 in U.S. currency.
In a statement released on social media, Geary County Sheriff Nate Boeckman shared his thoughts on his department and its goals moving forward. "My key goals continue to focus on building trust and unity within our community while delivering the highest level of protection and service," Boeckman said. Boeckman was sworn in as Geary County Sheriff in January of this year.
