Geary County, Dec. 22, 2023 – Geary County has announced a three-year streak of record-breaking tourism success!
In 2022, the county's visitors spent $102 million—3% up from last year, the highest in the history of the Geary County Convention and Visitors Bureau.
This includes:
1. “Jobs on the Rise:” Over the past three years, tourism has created 1,265 new jobs. That's 1,265 individuals in the community with new opportunities.
2. “Local Cash Boost:” When tourists spend, Geary County wins big. The County pocketed a cool $11.5 million in state and local taxes.
3. “Something for Everyone:” Whether it's savoring a delicious meal (29%) or exploring local attractions (12%), visitors are spreading their dollars across the community. .
