Brookdale Senior Living in Junction City is hosting a Summer Family Fun Day Saturday, July 12. The Summer Fun Day which runs from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. will feature a carnival with games, bounce houses, a dunk tank ($1.00 for 3 balls), and a sprinkler to cool off in. The proceeds from the event will go to the organization Walk to End Alzheimer’s.
Food will be available, both snacks like Cotton Candy and A hot dog plate. (The hot dog plate includes a hot dog, chips, and a drink for $5).
The carnival will be at Brookdale Senior Living, located at 1022 Caroline Ave. in Junction City.
April Vazquez, the Resident Program Director at Brookdale Senior Living, said the carnival will be fun for everyone while also making an impact. “We are excited not only to do this for our residents but also for our Junction City Community,” Vazquez said. "We are a small family-like community where we lead with passion, courage, partnership, and trust. This is our 7th year raising money for Walk to End Alzheimer's, something everyone here at Brookdale holds near and dear to their hearts.”
Also at the event, one of the residents will be selling her book. If interested in purchasing a book, there will be an area set up for her.
