Help raise the roof at the Historical Museum

Raise the Roof Fitness Fair is coming to the Geary County Historical Museum on Saturday. This event will assist with fundraising for a needed new roof on the Museum.

The first class starts at 10am with Yoga and a different class will be held every hour. Classes are being offered by Sierra Fox and Wild Sukha, The Upper Deck, Elite Academy of Martial Arts, K.O. Boxing, Ballroom Dance School Manhattan, JC GymTastics, Clarabel’s and Brianna Downey.  

There will be hourly raffle with prizes from: Magnolia’s, Rolling Meadows Golf Course, JC GymTastics, Ballroom Dance School MHK and Nutrition Fort! Food and drink will be available for purchase from Jammin’ Jamaican, We’re So Icey, Nutrition Fort and By Yurii’s Kitchen. Witt’s will also be on site with a nursery stand.

Wristbands for entry are $15 in advance/ $20 at the door for adults and $8 in advance/ $10 at the door for kids. All proceeds will benefit the Historical Society.  

The event is being sponsored by Jim Clark Chevrolet, D.E.L. Motors, Subway and Mowry Custer DBA Coldwell Banker Patriot Realty.

The Historical Society was named a recipient of a 2022 Heritage Trust Fund grant. That grant, along with local match fundraising will pay for  replacement of the 35-year old roof on the museum building.
