The Greater Geary Community Foundation (GGCF) is currently accepting applications for local grants for community projects.
To receive a grant, you must be a 501c3 organization. The proposed project must address one of the following focus areas: arts and humanities, basic human needs, children and youth, the elderly, community development and leadership, medical care, and mental health. The proposed project should not require ongoing support from the GGCF.
The funds provided for these grants are from individual donations to the Greater Geary Community Foundation and from the Patterson Family Foundation.
According to Calvin Pottberg, the chairman of the Greater Geary Community Foundation, grant awards are contingent on the availability of funds as deemed by the GGCF Board of Directors. Grants will be for no more than $3,000.
If awarded with a local grant, a report on the outcome of the project must be submitted to the Greater Geary Community Foundation.
