ST. GEORGE - On Wednesday afternoon, just after 4:30 pm, fire crews were dispatched to the 500 block of Maple in St. George for the report of a residence on fire.
When crews arrived on the scene they found a mobile home with flames and smoke coming from the residence. Crews were able to get the fire under control within 30-45 minutes of the call to 911.
No one was home at the time of the fire and no injuries were reported. The home is a total loss.
Firefighters from Pottawatomie County Consolidated Fire District #1, Louisville Fire Department and Wamego Fire Department responded to the fire.
Pottawatomie County EMS, St. George Police officers and Pottawatomie County Sheriff's Office also responded to the incident.
