Monday postponements and cancellations:
--Due to expected severe weather this afternoon, the K-State Salina campus will begin limited operations with essential personnel only at 1 p.m., and the Manhattan campus will begin limited operations at 2 p.m.All in-person intersession classes are canceled from 1 p.m. on for the Salina campus and from 2 p.m. for the Manhattan campus.Employees should contact supervisors if they have questions.
-- In an abundance of caution for our patrons and staff, the Dorothy Bramlage Public Library will be closing at 2 pm today. We will reopen at 9 am on Tuesday, May 19th.
--Due to potential weather conditions Monday afternoon, the Junction City Family YMCA will be closing at 4pm. All evening classes are cancelled.
--The Senior Commander has approved an early release of personnel No Later than 2 PM due to severe weather. Soldiers, DA Civilians and Contractors can contact CoC or Supervisor for guidance.
-- All Konza Prairie Community Health Center clinics will close Monday, May 18 at 2:30 pm, due to predicted severe weather conditions. All appointments will be rescheduled. Konza clinics will re-open on May 19 at 9:00 am.

--Due to the increased probability of severe weather this afternoon/evening, Geary County offices will be closing at 4:00 p.m. this afternoon. Essential departments (such as, but not limited to, Emergency Management and the Sheriff's Office) will have operations as usual.
The Treasurer's Office will stop accepting walk-ins at 3:15 to ensure they can complete work already in progress before closing.
--Geary County Emergency Management is advising no travel after 5 p.m.
--There is not any emergency shelter in Junction City so Emergency Management advises you to make your plans for sheltering during a storm.
--Due to the weather expected in the area late this afternoon, Geary County Schools USD 475 will be dismissing early on Monday, May 18. All after-school activities are canceled. Please note that Junction City High School will be releasing at 1 p.m., while all other schools will release at 1:45 p.m. All USD 475 staff will be dismissed after all students are clear.
--The USD 475 special board meeting scheduled for today has been moved to Thursday, May 28th at 6:00 pm
The City/County/School meeting scheduled for today at 5:30 pm has been canceled as well.
-- Cloud County Community College both Concordia and Junction City campuses are closing at 1:00 p.m. today due to the forecasted severe weather.
--USD 378 Riley County Schools will dismiss at 2pm today. If you are unable to have someone at home to meet your student, our campus and storm shelters will remain open until you can safely pick them up. RCCC will remain open until 6pm this evening
--USD 379 Clay County schools will dismiss at 1 p.m.
-- Due to forecasted severe weather, St. Francis Xavier Catholic School in Junction City will be dismissing at 2:00 p.m. today.
--Chapman USD 473 schools will dismiss at 2 p.m. All activities are postponed.
--Blue Valley USD 384 schools will dismiss at 1 p.m.
--In Junction City the Joint City/County/School District meeting has been canceled this evening due to impending weather.
--Wamego Public Library will close early at 3 p.m.
