RILEY COUNTY —Law enforcement authorities are investigating two new cases of alleged theft in Riley County.
Just after noon Thursday, officers filed a report of theft and criminal use of financial card in the 2800 block of Allison Ave. in Manhattan, according to the Riley County Police Department activity report.
A 72-year-old woman reported that her credit card was stolen and then used without her permission at several businesses in town. The estimated total loss associated with this case is $4,668.26.
Just before 4:30p.m. Thursday, officers filed a report of theft in the 300 block of Thurston Street in Manhattan. A 60-year-old woman reported that a check was used without her permission to withdraw cash. The estimated total loss associated with this case is $5,121.00
