"Raise the Roof" Fitness Fair on May 21st from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. will raise funds to help pay for a new roof on the Geary County Historical Museum. Local gyms will be offering hour long classes on the Museum grounds at 530 North Adams.
Heather Hagedorn, Historical Society Executive Director, said the schedule for the event has been finalized.
--10 a.m. Yoga with the YMCA
--11 a.m. Zumba with the YMCA
--12 p.m. martial arts with Elite Academy of Martial Arts
--1 p.m. boxing with K.O. Boxing
--2 p.m. ballroom dancing focusing on the Charleston with Ballroom Dance School Manhattan.
Children's classes will also be held during the day.
--11 a.m. gymnastics with JC Gym Tastics
--1 p.m. Clarabel's Dance with Clarabel's
--2 p.m. CheerFit with Clarabel's
Food vendors will be on site and hourly raffles will be drawn with prizes from local fitness organizations. Wristbands necessary for entry are now on sale at the museum for $15 in advance or $20 day of the event. Children's wrists are $8 in advance or $10 day of the event.
