Junction City Commissioners covered multiple topics Tuesday night,

--The recent community cleanup in April resulted in collection of more than 34 tons of trash, including 26.49. tons from within the city and 7.52 tons by the county from the rural area. Officials will look at trying this again in the October time frame.

--Commissioners met in two executive sessions for a combined total of 20 minutes to discuss the Chamber of Commerce Master Agreement and another 10 minutes to talk about Property Acquisition. There were no announcements on the topics afterwards.

--Approved a request to award the bid for the 2026 Street Maintenance project to Shilling Construction Company, Inc. in the amount of $792,789, affecting Eisenhower, Allen Street, Haven Drive, 12th Street, Coronado, Webster, Filley, East 4th, East 5th, East 6th, East 7th, & Reynolds. 

--Approved the request to purchase an Aries Voyager Sewer Camera System from Elliot Equipment Co. not to exceed $199,743. 

--A Homelessness Task Force effort is moving forward. Members are still being obtained. It will begin meeting in the July or August time frame.

--Granted the JCFD request to use the request for proposal process to purchase an ambulance not to exceed $330,000.An older ambulance would be put up for auction.

--Commissioners received a general public request to put a moratorium on data centers.

-- They approved the Parks & Recreation request to purchase a Raymo Electric Slope Mower from Key Equipment in the amount of $50,925.59. 

--Appointed Yurii Zhupnyk to the JCHA Board for a term ending on 12/31/2027. They also appointed Natalie Waldo to the JCHA Board for a term ending on 12/31/2027.
