Geary County Commissioners have denied a $1,000 funding recommendation from the CVB for use in supporting the Mudd Bogg event that raises money for Freedom Fest.
The County has already increased funding for Freedom Fest this year from $20,000 up to $25,000.
Commissioners Keith Ascher and Kathy Tremont voted in favor of denying the CVB recomendation. But Commissioner Trish Giordano voted the other way, noting that it is an event that brings other people to the community.
