Geary USD 475 Associate Superintendent Dr. Debra Gustafson will retire in July. Her employment with the school district began in August of 1977 when she became the Assistant Secretary at Junction City High School.
Gustafson said that she was blessed to work for 47 years in USD 475 with brilliant, talented individuals. "I just know that it's time for me to step away and let the next generation of leaders lead into the future. I will forever be grateful for the opportunities offered me."
Gustafson noted that she will always be a "strong supporter and passionate about USD 475." Her retirement will be considered for approval by the Board of Education on Thursday.
