Live Well Geary County works to provide funds to partners to create a healthier community. They are a Blue Cross Blue Shield Pathway to a Healthy Kansas participant.

Local Grant Cooordinator Susan Jagerson said that they are working on a placemaking project for the Library. "The Library is doing some renovations and expansions. We're going to provide funding to them to be able to install an outdoor play area for kids."

They work with Junction City Main Street to form a Farmer's Market organization that will allow them to manage both markets. There is an effort to improve the 12th Street Community Market and put a new shed there. They are also looking at some options to put a new greenhouse there.

Live Well is working with the Geary County Mental Health Task Force to address mental health issues in the community.

Duing recent months they have served an average of 204 meals at the Healthy Together community meals on Monday evenings at the Larry Dixon Center.

There are other projects as well.
