Ronald S. Gross, a beloved husband, father, and grandfather, passed away peacefully at his home in St. Marys, Kansas, on April 10, 2023, at the age of 80. He was surrounded by his loving wife of 53 years, Jane, who remained by his side until the end.
Ronald was born on June 29, 1942, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, to Joseph and Lorraine Gross. He spent his childhood in East Allis and graduated from Pius XI High School in 1961. After completing his education, Ronald enlisted in the United States Army and was stationed in South Korea and Germany, where he served his country with pride.
In 1970, Ronald married the love of his life, Jane Futterlieb. Together, they enjoyed a happy and adventurous life, traveling across the United States, Canada, and Europe. Ronald worked as a truck driver for most of his life, primarily for Union Carbide and Praxair.
Ronald was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Lorraine, and his two sons, Joseph and Christopher. He is survived by his beloved wife, Jane; his daughter, Marion (Charles) LeSage; daughters-in-law, Jeanette Gross and Katrina Gross; five grandsons and five granddaughters. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
