Due to the recent windstorm on December 15th, the Junction City Department of Public Works will pick-up the trees/tree limbs from the storm damage. City crews will start on the south end of the City and work towards the north end of town.
Public Works Director Ray Ibarra said citizens are asked that only trees/tree limbs be placed along the curb where City crews will be able to pick up the debris. The tree/tree limb pickup will begin December 27th and end December 30th. If any trash is mixed with the trees/tree limbs the debris will not be picked up due to the restrictions placed by KDHE on the County’s tree landfill.
City crews will not go onto the resident’s property to remove the trees/tree limbs.
