Dr. Richard Lochamy has moved his offices from Geary Community Hospital to a new suite of offices at 327 East Chestnut Street on the east side of Junction City.

Lochamy told JC Post the reaction from his patients has been overwhelmingly positive. "For 27 years I've been a staunch, strong supporter of the hospital. " Lochamy added, "This decision has been a long time coming. I've listened to our patient's concerns and I've listened to our patient's questions. I've also talked to several pillars in the community and listened to their concerns and after many, many sleepless nights and many prayers we've decided to relocate."

Lochamy noted that he has one of the largest practices in Kansas, which is something he's proud of. "Well over half of our patients come from Geary County. "A large portion of patients have visual and movement disorders. Our new location allows easier access to be seen. "

Lochamy noted that this represents a new chapter in their delivery of healthcare. "Change is good. This is a decision that I have been very, very comfortable with."

The doctor confirmed that he will continue to send patients to Geary Community Hospital. "What we are are also doing is reminding ourselves that we work for the patients. And the patients are going to have other options now. I'm on staff at not only at our hospital here but also in Manhattan and also over in Abilene, and we'll follow them. They'll make that decision. "

Four employees work for Lochamy in his practice.
