RILEY COUNTY—One person was injured in an accident just before 6:30a.m. Wednesday in Riley County.
According to the Riley County Police Department activity report, a 2018 Jeep Cherokee driven by Akeema Jones-Greene crossed the center line at the corner of Marlatt Avenue and Matter Drive.
The Jeep was traversing into oncoming traffic. Alec Marenco swerved his 2019 GMC Sierra to avoid the oncoming vehicle but Jones-Greene corrected back to her lane and the two vehicles collided head-on.
EMS transported Marenco to Via Christ for treatment of non-life threatening injuries. The RCPD released no additional details.
