JUNCTION CITY, Kan. — The Ase' Organization of Junction City announced its plans for Juneteenth 2021. The event will be held on Saturday, June 19th from 1-8p.m. at Milford State Park.
Juneteenth is the celebration of the ending of slavery in the United States, dating back to 1865. The event in Junction City will amplify the organization's mission statement, which is to "connect generations through community support and togetherness."
The Juneteenth celebration will feature games for children, a talent show, raffles for various prizes, and free food, including nachos from Chitas from 4-6p.m.
