Tylen Smith finishes 2nd place in 100 M to lead all JCHS placers at State Track and Field

-- Junction City High School Senior Tylen Smith claimed runner-up honors in the 100 meters to lead JCHS at the Kansas State High School Activities Association State Track and Field Championships. Smith crossed the finish line with a time of 10.70 to earn second place.

-- Tylen Smith also had a solid outing in the 200 meters as he placed sixth overall with a time of 21.95.

-- Also in the 200 meters, Isaiah Byers followed in seventh place, clocking a time of 22.10.

-- Byers was also in action in the 400 meters as the senior finished 9th overall.

-- JCHS Senior J’Sean Green placed seventh place in the triple jump, with a leap of 45-1.50.

 -- Anthony Testa placed ninth in the finals of the 3200 meters, with a time of 9:39.46 

-- Testa finished in 13th place in the finals of the 1600 meters.

-- Freshman Danielle Bucher recorded a time of 48.30 to finish 12th overall in the 300 meter hurdles

-- JCHS Girls 4x100 relay team of Amiya Fischer, Madison Long, Laila Berry and Ayanna Patterson wrapped-up competition in 11th place.

-- JCHS boys 4x800 relay of Damian Davis, Testa, Luis Resendiz and Jacob Atkins recorded a time of 8:17.17 to place 11th overall.
