The Geary County Schools USD 475 Board of Education (BOE)&nbsp;approved the hiring of Easton Burgardt as head boys’ basketball coach at Junction City High School.&nbsp;

Burgardt, who is currently an 11th&nbsp;grade ELA teacher, has worked with the boys’ basketball program as an assistant coach the last seven years helping lead the Blue Jays to heights never seen before in program history, including a state tournament appearance in 2022-23 as well as the program’s first Centennial League championship during the 2023-24 season. Burgardt, who has also served as the assistant boys’ golf coach during his tenure, graduated from Kansas State University in 2018 and recently completed his master’s degree in educational administration from Emporia State University in 2022.
