Xavier Felton scored on a two-point conversion in overtime to help lift the Junction City Blue Jays over Washburn Rural 18-17 in overtime Friday night. The win came in the first ever game played at the new Blue Jay Stadium.
Felton also scored on a short touchdown run in overtime to set up the final two-point conversion.

On the decision to go for two points in the overtime, head coach Randall Zimmerman said the Blue Jay players wanted to do that. "Kids absolutely wanted to."
Prior to the extra session Aiden Field kicked a 28-yard field goal for Junction City to tie the game at 10-10 and force overtime. Zimmerman called it a "very clutch field goal after three timeouts trying to ice him and it was right through the center. Really, really good kick, great protection."
The contest was the home opener for Junction City at Blue Jay Stadium and included a large crowd of local fans in attendance to watch the game.
