Blue Jays beat St. Mary's Academy and enter Christmas break undefeated

On Wednesday night inside Blue Jay Event Center, the Junction City Blue Jays completed the sweep over St. Mary's Academy, with the freshman, JV, and varsity teams all winning.

The varsity game began with a lop pass to senior Ja'Twaan Williams, who started the scoring for Junction City, who ran all over St. Mary's Academy, winning 53-17.

After a sluggish first quarter, the Blue Jays led by eight, 10-2, then doubled that to 16 at halftime.

The second half was all about Junction City, with the Blue Jays extending their lead to 30 by the end of the third quarter. Senior Jordan Weston banked in a three-pointer just before the end of the third to give JC a 47-17 lead and a running clock in the fourth quarter. The Blue Jays held St. Mary's scoreless in the fourth quarter and won 53-17.

JC was led in scoring by junior guard Lovell Autry with 18 points, and senior Ja'Twaan Williams added 12 points.

With the win, the Blue Jays head into Christmas break undefeated at 4-0.
