The Junction City Blue Jay boys Class 4A State Championship basketball team was honored Friday night at the Shenk Gym. There was a reception for them at the school and some members of the program in 1970 were recognized at halftime of the boys basketball game against Topeka West.
The team went 19-5 and defeated Coffeyville in the state championship game.
