State Wrestling Tournaments begin today for all classifications across the state of Kansas. This year, the format has changed to a three-day event, running Thursday through Saturday.
Junction City will have ten student-athletes wrestling at state.
For the JC girls' wrestling team, three wrestlers will be competing. They are Charly Goodwin (wrestling at 110 pounds), Juliana Villanueva (wrestling at 115 pounds), and Victoria Perez (wrestling at 190 pounds).

For the JC boys wrestling team, seven wrestlers will be competing. They are Jayden Melton (wrestling at 106 pounds), Jaime Villanueva (wrestling at 138 pounds), Josh Brookshire (wrestling at 157 pounds), Cooper Bogenhagen (wrestling at 165 pounds), Griffin Bohanan (wrestling at 175 pounds), Chris Coy (wrestling at 215 pounds), and Avery Florence (wrestling at 285 pounds).
