The Junction City Lady Jays defeated the Abilene Cowgirls by a thrilling final score of 26-25 on Saturday morning at the Salina Invitational Tournament. With the victory over Abilene, the Lady Jays finished seventh in the Salina Invitational Tournament.

In a back and forth game, Junction City senior point guard Amyah O'Neal hit the go ahead and game winning layup with 12 seconds left in the game.

The Lady Jays were led in scoring by sophomore Navaeh Rushing. She finished the game with eight points. Senior Sara Rexrode finished with seven points, and O' Neal added four points. 

It was the first win of the season for the Lady Jays, and the first win for Junction City under first year head coach Conor Reilly.
