The Junction City Blue Jay football team defeated the Topeka High Trojans 47-0 on Friday night in Topeka at Hummer Sports Park.
The Blue Jays were excellent on offense, scoring a touchdown on every offensive drive except the last drive, when time expired. The scoring got underway in the first quarter when senior quarterback Brock Bazan threw a 23-yard touchdown pass to senior Michael Boganowski.
Junction City had five rushing touchdowns on the night. The touchdown scorers included Griffon Bohannon (who had two touchdowns), Cooper Bogenhagan and quarterback Brock Bazan both added one, and the final touchdown of the night was from sophomore running back Lance Norris on a 25-yard touchdown run.
The Blue Jays also had a defensive score on an interception returned for a touchdown by sophomore defensive back Lovell Autry.
