JUNCTION CITY, Kan. — The Junction City Blue Jays overcame an ice cold first quarter to defeat the Topeka High Trojans 62-59 on Thursday night.

After hitting just one first half three pointer, the Blue Jays would get a much needed spark from Chris Dixon in the second half. Dixon knocked in four triples in the second half on his way to 22 points to lead all scorers.

Javon George provided a big lift for JC as well with a career-high 13 points.

Junction City forced Topeka High into 20 turnovers, which ultimately lead to a comeback win for the Blue Jays, who trailed by as many as 11 points in the second half.

Junction City will turn around to play this same Topeka High team Friday night, in an unusual home-and-home on consecutive nights.

Tomorrow's contest will tip-off around 7:30 p.m. from Topeka, with coverage on 1420 and 107.9 KJCK.
