The Junction City Blue Jays basketball team defeated the Hayden Wildcats by a final score of 70 - 45 on Wednesday night at Hayden High School in Topeka. The Blue Jays had 3 players score in double digits, Larkin Turner with 16 points, junior Jackson Austin with 15 points, and senior Stewart Mitchell with 12 points. Junction City lead from start to finish, and their largest lead was 32 points.
It'll be a quick turn-around for Junction City as the Blue Jays host the Emporia Spartans Thursday night at Junction City High School. The Lady Jays will also be in action Thursday night with a make-up game against Olathe East. The girls will start play at 6:00pm and the boys will immediately follow, around 7:30pm.
