The 2025-26 High School basketball season has arrived! The Junction City Blue Jays and Lady Jays are playing their first games of the season tonight, at Lawrence Free State High School. Girls tip at 5:30, and the boys are expected to tip around 7:00. You can hear both games on the radio in Junction City on 107.9 FM / 1420 AM KJCK Radio. You can also hear the games by clicking here.
The girls program is being led by recently appointed interim head coach Tim Testa. He takes over for Bri Little who led the program last year. Testa has previously led the girls program in the past.
The boys program is led by first-year head coach Easton Burgardt. He takes over for Nick Perez who resigned at the end of last basketball season and took a job in the state of Missouri. Burgardt has been on staff as an assistant for the past seven years.
