Junction City Athletic Training Center is sponsoring a Home Run Derby and Home Run Derby Challenges on Saturday, July 3rd.
Rick Bazan, Director of the Center, said this will be a three-part competition. "They'll do a a home run derby, a long toss and the most accurate throw. "
There will be eight and under plus ten and under age groups starting about 8 a.m., and then about 11 a.m. the 13 and under and 17 and under groups will compete. "We're also offering a softball home run derby as well."
Bazan said this involves multiple groups. "This is recreation league, traveling teams, so hopefully the teams will come and wear their colors and their uniforms and kind of represent their clubs."
