Raymond Richardson, 80, lifelong resident of McFarland, Kansas, passed away surrounded by his family on November 25, 2025, at Kelly House Assisted Living, Meriden, Kansas.&nbsp; Raymond was born in Wamego, Kansas, on March 10, 1945, the first in a set of twins with his sister Rosemary. 

Raymond was the ninth of ten children born to parents Stephen Roscoe Richardson and Cora Belle Shoemaker.&nbsp; After graduating from high school, he attended barber school, but after an accident at 19, he was left with a brain injury. Despite the unfortunate accident, he brought brightness to everyone he met and worked hard in construction jobs.&nbsp; Raymond loved fishing, hunting, the outdoors, and playing the card game pitch with his sister Annamae. He was a devoted member of Mill Creek Baptist Church and had a deep love for Jesus, eagerly sharing His word with others. One of his greatest joys was singing “Because He Lives.”&nbsp; 

Raymond was preceded in death by his parents; his sisters Charlotte Meseke, Dolorese Beavers, Rosemary Hamilton, and Little Mildred; and his brothers Steve Richardson, Hal Richardson, John (Jack) Richardson, and Robert Richardson.&nbsp; Raymond is survived by his sister Annamae Anderson, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.&nbsp;

 A Funeral Service will be held at 10:30 a.m., November 29, 2025, at Campanella and Stewart Funeral Home in Wamego, Kansas, with Pastor Russ Burlew officiating. Elizabeth Myrna (McCombs) Kelly "Kitty", passed peacefully at her home in Junction City, Kansas on November 27, 2025 at the age of 80. She was born on March 23, 1945 in Homestead, Pennsylvania.&nbsp;

Elizabeth was preceded in death by her parents; father, Vance McCombs Sr. and mother, Cecilia (McCellan) McCombs; brother Vance McCombs Jr.; and sisters Andrea Chojnacki and Jane Cieslewiz.&nbsp;

Elizabeth is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 52 years, Glenn Kelly Jr. (US Army Retired); children Johnna Strait of Lutz, Florida, Donna Miller of Crossville, Tennessee, Thomas (Corie) Strait of Zepherhills, Florida, Veronica (Michael) Terstegen of Elizabeth Town, Kentucky, Jean Kelly of Junction City, Kansas, and her dog Nikki. Elizabeth and Glenn have 15 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.&nbsp;

Elizabeth's life was one marked by strength, and an unwavering spirit. Elizabeth embraced a life of dedication and resilience supporting her family in the role of a military wife.&nbsp;

The Kelly home was a place where generations gathered to share stories and create memories. She loved traveling, visiting Graceland where she enjoyed singing and admiring "Elvis", and also loved trips to Mt. Rushmore.&nbsp;

May her memory bring comfort to those who knew and loved her, and inspiration to those who follow in her footsteps.&nbsp;

Kent C. Strang, born on May 6, 1936, in Omaha, Nebraska, passed away on November 21, 2025, in Manhattan, Kansas, leaving behind a legacy of joy and adventure. Kent dedicated a significant part of his career to the real estate industry, where he worked as a property tax consultant in Los Angeles. In 1986, he took a bold step and established his own commercial real estate business, Kent Strang &amp; Associates, showcasing his entrepreneurial spirit and commitment to excellence.

In 1958, Kent joined the United States Army, fulfilling his military service until 1960. This experience undoubtedly shaped his character, contributing to the gentlemanly and friendly persona he was known for. Kent was a man who appreciated all that life had to offer, embodying a spirit that was outdoorsy, spontaneous, and adventurous.

After serving in the Army, Kent pursued his education with determination, graduating from the University of Nebraska with a bachelor's degree in economics. His thirst for knowledge and desire to excel drove him throughout his professional life.

In 1984, Kent met Sandra Henington in Los Angeles, and their connection blossomed into a remarkable partnership. Together, they traveled across the country and ventured around the world, exploring new places and sharing beautiful memories, including boating trips to Mexico and their cherished spot, Catalina Island. They eventually relocated to Manhattan, Kansas, in 2020, though they spent most of their journey in California.

Kent's hobbies and interests included boating, biking, traveling, and fishing, reflecting his love for nature and adventure. He was also a wine connoisseur and had a particular fondness for drinking Sierra Nevada Pale Ale, which became a favorite&nbsp;

Kent’s personality radiated warmth and humor, making him a beloved figure among those who knew him. He enjoyed life to its fullest and embraced every moment with a smile. His proudest accomplishments include owning his own yacht and marrying Sandra, with whom he shared a deep and meaningful life.

He is survived by his loving wife, Sandra (Henington) Strang; mother-in-law, Sheila Burdett; brothers-in-law, Mack (Ruth) Henington and Chris Henington; sister-in-law, Sheila (Steve) Burch; his sister, Linda Looney; and a plethora of nieces and nephews who will carry on his memory.

Francis Joseph “Joe” Callahan III, 78, of Manhattan, Kansas, passed away on Monday, November 24, 2025, at the Kansas City Hospice House in Kansas City, Missouri.

Joe was born on December 27, 1946, in Boston, Massachusetts, the son of Francis Joseph Callahan II and Mary (Krouse) Callahan. He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War, later earned his degree from Kansas State University, and went on to operate Krouse Cattle Company as a dedicated farmer and rancher.

In 1973, Joe married Mary Virginia “Ginny” Buie, and together they shared nearly 30 years of marriage until her passing in 2002. In June 2007, he married Cheryl Marcoux. Joe and Cheryl shared a life together full of adventure, bird watching, cooking, and countless hours spent exploring the outdoors on their ATVs. A true outdoorsman, Joe found joy in hunting, fishing, trap shooting, and tending his vegetable garden. He was a life member of the National Rifle Association, an active member of the National Trappers Association, and previously involved with Pheasants Forever and Quail Unlimited.

Joe is survived by his wife of 18 years, Cheryl Callahan; his children, Patricia “Tricia” Callahan and Francis Joseph Callahan IV (Cara Beirne); and his grandchildren, Samantha, Pearl, and Violet. He is also survived by his siblings, Connie (Jeff) Richards and Tim (Nancy) Callahan; his stepchildren, Rachel Rubio (Edgar) and Lee Marcoux (Alysha); and his step-grandchildren, Gabriel and Isabel Rubio. He was preceded in death by his parents and his first wife, Mary Virginia “Ginny” Buie.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday morning (December 5, 2025) at 10:30 at Seven Dolars Catholic Church, 221 S. Juliette Ave. Manhattan, Kansas with Fr. Leo Blasi officiating.  Burial with Military Honors will be in Cedar Creek Cemetery near Manhattan.

John R. Selvidge, Jr. (81) passed away at his home on November 20, 2025. He was born on July 21, 1944 at Ft. Riley, Kansas to John R. Selvidge Sr. and Helen E. Selvidge. His father was in the Army, so he spent some of his childhood years in Germany (1949-54 and 1956-59). He graduated from Manhattan High School in 1962. John worked at Endicott Electric for about a year and was a truck driver for Kershaw Ready Mix for several years, prior to starting his career in 1973 as a Police Officer at Kansas State University. He retired in 2002. 

In 1975, he married Peggy Blacker and they had two children, Todd and Dana. They divorced in 1993. 

John enjoyed going to auctions, car shows and gun shows with his friends. He liked buying and trading guns, and seeing those classic cars, but the friendships he formed with those guys was very important to him. He also enjoyed watching K-State sports and the KC Chiefs games from the comfort of his home. He loved watching westerns on tv or was busy reading a western book. 

The light of his life was his family-especially his grandchildren. His granddaughter, MaKenna, was very special to him. She was very active in sports throughout her school years. She played softball, volleyball, and basketball. He loved going to as many games as he could to watch her play. She got a volleyball scholarship at Tabor College in Hillsboro, Kansas in the Fall of 2025, but his health was declining and he was unable to attend any of her games. Her career path is in nursing. He was very proud of her. He was also proud of his step-granddaughters, as they are also pursuing their college dreams-- Alanna in Secondary Education and Kyla in Horticulture. 

John was preceded in death by his parents, John R. Selvidge, Sr. and Helen E. Selvidge; sister, Mary Horn; and sister-in-law, Kathleen Selvidge.

He is survived by his son, Alex McPhearson (Todd at birth), of St. George, daughter, Dana (Jason) Walsh, of Leonardville; granddaughter, MaKenna Wamsher, of Leonardville; step grandchildren Zacharij Wamsher, of Louisburg, MO; Alanna and Kyla Walsh, of Leonardville; brother Harold R. Selvidge, of Topeka; nephew, Sean (Nicole) Selvidge, of Topeka; great nephew and niece, Nathan and Jessica Selvidge of Topeka; and other nieces and nephews in Indiana.

Myrtle May Wilson (better known as Mitzi) passed away on November 20th, 2025, after 93 years of loving life and family.&nbsp;

Mitzi was born in Alma Kansas on January 24th, 1932, the fifth of seven children whose parents were Edward and Marguerite Stuewe.&nbsp;

Mitzi retired as a bookkeeper for the biology department of Kansas State University. Her husband for over 50 years, John (Jack) predeceased her in 2002.&nbsp;

Mitzi is survived by her three children Meryl Wilson (Nancy), Janis Wilson, Kirk Wilson (Betty) and her sister Donna Rafferty.&nbsp;

Her love for family is reflected by thirteen grandchildren, twenty-five great grandchildren, and ten great-great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Jack and Mitzi Wilson Scholarship Fund through Manhattan High School or a charity of your choice in their name.&nbsp;

Services will be held Tuesday, November 25, 2025 at First Lutheran Church in Manhattan, Kansas at 10:00am with burial following at Sunrise Cemetery.&nbsp;

His 22 years of service were defined by unwavering commitment, leadership, and courage. John cherished his time in uniform, taking immense pride in serving his country with honor and integrity. Freddie Harris Meyer, 88 of Alma, Kansas, died Nov 24, 2025, at the Heritage Home in Alma after an illness. He was a lifelong member of the Wabaunsee County Alma community.

Fred was born January 19, 1937, in rural Wabaunsee County on the farm, the son of Fredder and Malinda Steege-Meyer. He attended the local St John Lutheran school and graduated from Alma High School in 1955. He was baptized on February 28, 1937, and was confirmed on March 18, 1951.

He married JoAnn Hodge on November 25, 1962, in Alta Vista, Kansas. She preceded him in death. They had a daughter, Kathy Cox.

After graduation, Fred served in the Navy. He returned to Alma, where he worked with his brother, Warren, as a rancher, truck driver, and owner of Meyer Truck Line. He continued this work until he retired.

Fred served the City of Alma as a Council member and then served as the City Mayor from 1989 to 1997. Fred was an active member of St. John Lutheran Church, where he served in different roles as an usher and trustee.

Fred’s hobbies revolved around sports. In his younger years, he played fast-pitch softball and coached his daughter’s softball teams. He was an avid St Louis Cardinal fan and is a proud owner of a brick at Cardinal Stadium. He loved watching sports: Wabaunsee High, KSU wildcats, KU Jayhawks, St Louis Cardinals, KC Royals, and the Chiefs. He loved his annual guys’ trips to watch the Cardinals in St Louis. He was very proud of his daughter and his grandchildren and spent countless hours driving to various practices and attending their sporting events. Every year, he would take them on a vacation to explore somewhere in Kansas or to St Louis for a ball series.

Dale Wayne Taylor was born July 19, 1959 in Horton, Kansas to Clyde Robert and Dorothy Alvina Taylor. He left this life on November 24, 2025, at the age of 66 years old.

Dale loved the outdoors, he loved to fish and hunt. Dale wasn’t one to conform, he wanted thing on his terms. He quit school at the age of 17 to enter the working world in Junction City, living with family and friends while working for Mid America Movers and other moving companies. He met his first wife, Sue, and shortly after they moved to Florida to learn carpentry with Environmental Homes, a family-owned company. A few years later, he moved back to Chapman, Kansas. He struggled with his vices, got divorced and found his way back to Florida. It was then that he met his wife, Colleen, who survives him. After several years he began driving trucks, moving to Provo, Utah, until coming back to Kansas in 2004, where he lived until the end of his life.

Dale truly missed Kansas. He was aided by his brother buying property and was able to build a home in the country North of Chapman, Kansas next to Milford Lake, a place he loved. He fulfilled his dream of having a home in the country and was joined by other family members: his dad and step mother, who proceeded him in death; his sister, Laronda Smith, and her husband Vance; his brother Val and wife Becky. Dale is also survived by his sister, Stacy Campbell, and his step brother, Mike Post. His oldest sister, Clydene Rauch, also preceded him in death. Others left to honor the memory of Dale are his nephews and nieces, their children and many cousins, and we cannot forget his beloved pups, Jesse and Buddy, whom he dearly loved.

Dale loved to fish and hunt, the family would like to think of him off doing what he lived to do, catching big fish and chasing deer.

Earl Deines was born in Abilene, Kansas September 17,1947 and passed away November 21,2025 in Wichita, Kansas. He grew up on the family farm and attended Chapman schools.&nbsp; He graduated with the class of 1965 from Dickinson County Community High School.

Earl helped his folks on the family farm and worked for Bob Hollinger in High School. After graduation he served in the Army Reserves. &nbsp;Earl attended Brown Mackie where he met Kay Rust.&nbsp; They were married and had two children Amy Williams and Kevin Deines. After they divorced Earl met and married Betty Eis and they had two children Nathan Deines and Erin McComas.&nbsp;

Earl is survived by his wife of 49 years Betty Deines and his four children as well as 5 grandchildren. Also surviving are his sisters Lorinda Battishill of Chapman and Donita Sellin of Wichita.

Preceding Earl in death were his brother Rodney Deines and his parents Lester and Vera Deines.

Earl helped his folks on the farm from an early age and worked odd jobs to supplement the farm but farming was his calling.&nbsp; He was a member of Hi Y, FFA and Young Farmers.&nbsp; He was a member of Scherer Memorial Lutheran Church.

Bessie B. Marlatt, 95 was born January 2, 1930 in Underwood, Iowa to George and Emma (Rasmussen) O’Doniel. She left us on November 19, 2025. Bessie worked for Hallmark Cards in Topeka, KS in the 50’s. She went to school and received her license from Kansas Board of Cosmetology in 1953. She married Eddie William Marlatt on May 28, 1954. A daughter, Susan was born in 1960 and son David was born in 1962. After Susan graduated, they moved to Salina, KS. She worked at Asbury Hospital now called Salina regional Hospital where she worked in Housekeeping and in the Labor and Delivery Department for over 20 years. She retired in 1994. She, her three sisters and their brother did everything together. They loved to walk, explore and fish. With the brother involved, they never knew what they would be doing next. Growing up in the Great Depression, they learned at a very young age the value of what little they had. Bessie is survived by her daughter, Susan Weberg, six grandchildren, Alysha Colborn, Brook Weberg, Chelsey Raab, Kelly Marlatt, Karly Marlatt and Tiffany McNutt and 13 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, son, David, her twin sister, Betty, sisters, Phyllis Jackson, Hope Riffel and brother, James.

Arthur Rector, 92 of Abilene passed away November 19, 2025. He was born April 27, 1933 in Abilene, Kansas, the son of Joseph and Estella (Gray) Rector. On September 21, 1952 he was united in marriage to Dolores Rufener. She preceded him in death in December of 2007. 

Arthur worked for Lucky Stores in California for 23 ½ years as an assistant manager and later becoming manager. He later moved back to the Dickinson County area and worked general labor for ADM Mill for 18 years. Arthur is survived by his two sons, Gary Rector and Michael Rector and wife Kathy. Grandchildren: Christopher Rector, Jennifer Rector, Joseph Allen, Larry, Tim, Teresea and Jennifer. Great-Grandchildren: Darren, Dawson, Danielle, Erin, Dusty, Larry JR, Gary, Michael and Leon. He was preceded in death by his loving wife Delores, parents, granddaughter, Tina and siblings, Clarence, Cliff, Everett, Charlie, Dessi, Harold, Herb and Bob. 

Funeral Services for Arthur will be 1:00 P.M., Wednesday, November 26, 2025 at Martin-Becker-Carlson Funeral Home. Burial will follow at the Abilene City Cemetery. Chiyoko Denham, an esteemed and award-winning barber, passed away peacefully on November 21, 2025, in Junction City, Kansas. She was born on December 16, 1935, in Sendai, Japan, to her parents Tadashi Sasaki and Yoshimi Saiki.

Chiyoko's journey was one marked by both professional achievement and personal devotion. After marrying Barbie (Bobbie) Roy Denham on May 10, 1957, in Tokyo, Japan, she carried her passion for barbering across the ocean to the United States. Chiyoko's skill and dedication in her craft garnered her recognition and respect in her community, where she continued to touch the lives of many throughout her career.

Beyond her professional life, Chiyoko enjoyed enriching her personal experiences with varied hobbies and interests. She was an avid gardener, finding solace and joy in tending to her plants. Fishing brought her peace, making it a beloved pastime that allowed her to connect with nature. Furthermore, Chiyoko shared her vitality and enthusiasm for health as an instructor for senior center exercise classes, fostering fitness and well-being within the Junction City community.

Chiyoko's life was not without its share of heartbreak. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bobbie, who passed away on January 6, 2023, and their infant son, Barbie Roy Denham Jr.&nbsp;

Karren D. Blanken, affectionately known as Kay, passed away on November 15, 2025, in Junction City, Kansas, at the age of 83. Born on October 10, 1942, in Larned, Kansas, she lived a life marked by deep community involvement, unwavering dedication to her family, and a spirit that touched the lives of many.

Kay was married to her beloved husband, Robert L. Blanken, on February 24, 1962, in Junction City. Together, they established B&amp;K Enterprises, an amusement and vending company that thrived under their ownership from 1968 until 2006. As the bookkeeper and business partner, she took great pride in her work, always driven and eager to serve others. Her commitment to providing joy through her business reflected her fun-loving nature and her servant's heart.

Beyond her professional pursuits, Kay was actively engaged in her community, contributing her time and talents to various local organizations. She was instrumental in the building of the Junction City Animal Shelter and served on the Crime Stoppers committee, among other notable contributions to Sundown Salute and the Junction City Housing Authority. Her dedication to her community was further highlighted by her service as the Mayor of Junction City in the late 90s', showcasing her leadership and passion for making a positive impact.

Kay cherished her hobbies, including golfing and bowling, which allowed her to connect with friends and enjoy the pleasures of&nbsp;life. She was a pillar of strength and support for her family, leaving behind a legacy of love that will forever resonate with those who knew her.

She is survived by her son, Robert S. (Jean) Blanken; daughter, Desree L. (Paul) Loethen; grandsons, Cody B. Smith and Levi C. Smith; great-grandchildren, Alastaire Metz and Wednesday Smith; and siblings, Thomas Hawk of California, David Hawk, and Juanita (Hawk) Faircloth, both of Georgia.

Kay was preceded in death by her husband, Robert L. Blanken, who left this world on January 13, 2007, as well as her parents, Nora Gertrude (Legg) Hawk and Leland Harold Hawk. She also mourned the loss of her siblings: Robert, Norman, Raymond, Gerald Rex, Harold Dean, Frank, Dianna (Hawk) Carey, Leland, and Douglas Todd Hawk.

Cremation has taken place. A visitation to honor Kay's life will be held on December 5, 2025, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Johnson &amp; Mass-Hinitt Funeral Home, located at 203 N Washington St, Junction City, KS 66441.

&nbsp; Celebrating the life of Dr. Ronald E. Janasek, a cherished figure in both his family and community, who passed away at the age of 86 on November 12, 2025.

Ron was born July 18, 1939 at the family farm south of Munden, Kansas to Earl and Lucile Janasek. He attended school at Munden, Ks. Graduating in 1957 as valedictorian. He was active in 4-H, basketball and band. After graduating high school he attended Kansas State University, majoring in Feed Tech. He was a member of Meats, Jr. and Sr. Livestock Judging Teams, and a member of Sigma Chi Fraternity.

Ron and Jan were married in 1961. They moved to Forest Grove, Oregon to pursue his career at Pacific University College of Optometry where he graduated top of his class in 1965. Moving to&nbsp;<a href="https://www.legacy.com/us/obituaries/local/kansas/manhattan">Manhattan, Kansas</a>, he joined the private practice of Dr. W.H. Morris, where he practiced for 42 years.&nbsp;&nbsp;

&nbsp; Ron was active in Jaycees, Optimists, Rotary and served on many civic and First United Methodist Church boards. He helped to establish the Good Shepherd Hospice House, was active with Boy Scouts, coaching baseball, Kansas Optometric Association, Heart of America Contact Lens Society where he served as President. He enjoyed trotline fishing, gardening, snow skiing, bridge, and taking ship cruises with friends and family.

Elizabeth "Lindy" Doza, 44, of<a href="https://www.legacy.com/us/obituaries/local/kansas/manhattan">Manhattan, Kansas</a>, passed away peacefully at her home on Wednesday, November 12, 2025, surrounded by her family after a valiant battle with cancer. She was born May 19, 1981, in Clay Center, Kansas, to Edward "Ned" Valentine and Sheri (Wolfe) Valentine-Meunier.

Lindy attended school in Manhattan and Clay Center and graduated from Clay Center High School in 1999. Lindy was a loving and devoted mother, known for her amazing smile and warm spirit. She enjoyed nature, fishing, camping, and took great pride in her work at Blueville Nursery.

Carol Lea Acker, born on June 21, 1950, in Herington, Kansas, passed away peacefully at her home in rural Junction City, Kansas, on November 18, 2025. She leaves behind a legacy of love and dedication to family and community.

For nearly forty years, Carol served faithfully as a bookkeeper and accounts payable specialist at Waters Hardware Store in Junction City—an embodiment of responsibility and expertise in her career. Faith was important to Carol. She was actively involved as a member of the Sutphen Mill Christian Church. She was a volunteer with the Geary Community Hospital Auxiliary at the gift shop.

Those who knew Carol well remember her warmth, exemplified by her beautiful smile that could light up a room. She had a profound love for her family, which was evident in the time she cherished with them, particularly her grandchildren. Her passions extended to gardening; she found joy in nurturing plants and flowers, especially during the summertime.

Traveling with friends brought Carol immense joy, and she particularly loved visiting Branson, Missouri. Her first cruise was in 2024, a proud moment that she fondly reminisced about.

Carol is survived by her daughters, Natasha Kelly and her husband David of Junction City, Kansas, and Joye Gfeller and her husband Sam of Chapman, Kansas. She will also be lovingly remembered by her brother Gary Newbury and his wife Mary of Mansfield, Texas, and her brother Jeff Newbury of Tulsa, Oklahoma. Carol’s legacy continues through her four grandchildren: Caitlyn Ibarra and her husband Edson, Shannon Kelly, Shailynn Gfeller, Jacob Gfeller, and her great-granddaughter Camila Ibarra.

&nbsp; Theresa Marie “Terry” McGuire-Davis, 76, of Junction City, Kansas, passed away surrounded by her loved ones. She was born on March 19, 1949, in Junction City, the first born of Martin J. McGuire, Jr. and Francis G (Connell) McGuire.Terry graduated from St. Xavier‘s High School in Junction City in 1967 and remained a proud member of St. Xavier‘s Catholic Church throughout her life.

From an early age, Terry’s strength, compassion, and devotion to family became her defining qualities. At age 17, after the passing of her mother, she lovingly stepped into the role of matriarch and mentor to her 11 younger siblings, offering guidance, love, and stability when they needed it most. Her steady presence and nurturing heart became the foundation of a close-knit family that continues to draw strength from her example.

On March 4, 1998, Terry was united in marriage to Michael E. Davis in Las Vegas, Nevada. Together, they shared a bond of love, adventure, and laughter.&nbsp;&nbsp;

&nbsp; In the 1970s, Terry traveled the country driving for Mobile Travelers, delivering units across the United States. Later, she dedicated many years to Geary County Public Works, where she proudly held a variety of positions, her last serving as a Certified Waste Water IV Operator, a role she worked hard to achieve. Her dedication and work ethic earned the respect of her colleagues and her community.

Terry was an adventurous, free-spirited, and hard-working woman with a generous heart and a gentle soul. She and her husband shared a passion for barbecue competing in numerous contest, and later serving as judges. A tremendous cook, she was instrumental in keeping her large family close, organizing annual Fourth of July family reunions, holidays, and special occasions that created lifelong memories for generations. 

She was an avid reader and lifelong learner. She enjoyed collecting vintage brooches and antique ashtrays. A hobby that showcased her appreciation of both beauty and history. Terry was an active member of her community and several organizations, including the National Democratic Women’s Club, the American Legion, and the Elks. She was involved in local politics, and in the 1990s she ran for the Kansas House of Representatives in the 65th District. Her commitment to Service, friendship, and fellowship, reflected her deep care for others and her love of life.

She was proceeded in death by her parents; brothers Dennis McGuire and Daniel McGuire; sister, Cindy Craddock; and brothers-in-law Bob Dean and David Craddock.

Terry is survived by her husband, Mike Davis of Junction City; sisters, Pat Dean of Topeka, Sandy Killinger (Rich) of Lockhaven, Pennsylvania, Mary Smith (Frank) of Geary County, Katy Noa (Elias) of Junction City, and Micky McGuire of Geary County; brothers, Marty McGuire of Reno, Nevada, John McGuire (Angie) of Rogers, Arkansas, and Richard McGuire (Glenda) of Potrero, California; sisters-in-law, Maureen McGuire of Olathe, Kansas, and Liz McGuire of Branson, Missouri; and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins who deeply cherished her. Jerrold Dean Lyne, 65 of Enterprise passed away November 15, 2025. He was born December 24, 1959 in Elsworth, Kansas the son of Virgil and Nancy (Wrench) Lyne. He graduated from Minneapolis High School in 1978.

On October 28, 1978 he was united in marriage to Jataner “Jay” Spencer in Bennington, Kansas. She survives of the home. Jerrold served in the United States Army and retired from the National Guard as a technician. Jerrold is survived by his loving wife Jay. Three sons: Donovan Lyne; Phillip Lyne and Christopher Lyne (Issa Camahulai). Seven Grandchildren: Tyesha, Donovan, Joesiah, Gabriel, Rowan, Aryana and Magdalena. Four great-grandchildren and two sisters, Susie Drayer and Wanda Penn. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and one sister.

Jerrold Dean Lyne

Cheryl Anne Godlove Reves&nbsp;was gathered unto God on Friday, November 14th, at her home on Spring Creek Road, surrounded by her beloved fiancée Harold Armstrong, family, friends and Pottawatomie County Emergency personnel. She was born February 6th, 1948 the youngest child of Sherman Roosevelt and Cheryl Margaret Seymour Godlove of rural Westmoreland. Anne lived on the family farm with her parents and siblings Sherman Keith Godlove, Muriel Patricia Godlove, and Elizabeth “Jo” Godlove. She spent a lot of time with her brother affectionately known as “Bub” as he was a confirmed bachelor and stayed on the family farm all his life.

Anne was educated in the Westmoreland school system and graduated from Westmoreland Rural High School in May of 1966. A love of music was one of Anne’s passions and she was involved in dance and become a lifelong piano player after taking lessons at Cree Brothers funeral home where the undertaker’s dog often lay under the piano bench and growled at her. She was involved with many other organizations and activities during her school years and gained many lifelong friendships among her classmates.

On September 22nd, of 1966 she married Dale Reves and they made their home on a farm in rural Fostoria, Kansas. The following year on March 15th of 1967 they welcomed their only child a son Robert Joseph to the world. They moved to another farm on Spring Creek Road a move of one mile and spent their time farming and pursuing jobs off the farm to supplement their income. Anne was a wonderful mother and homemaker and enjoyed pursuits as far ranging as mushroom hunting to raising the&nbsp;to raising the broilers for the Godlove’s annual chicken butchering after her mother passed. She encouraged an early love of nature in her son and they spent hours looking for fossils on Ostergard road. She and Dale later divorced.

In her working life Anne did clerical work for the Pottawatomie County ASCS office and became well known to area farm families. She then took a job with the Pottawatomie County Treasurers office working for Faye Pittinger a member of her extended family. Having political aspirations of her own Anne ran a successful campaign for Register of Deeds unseating Erwin Scott and served a term in that office. In the next election cycle, she decided to run for County Treasurer and was defeated in that race. She then moved on to Kansas State University and worked early on for the Department of Anthropology, Sociology, and Social Work. Her next move was to the College of Human Ecology and her final disposition there was an Army School Agent Teen Training Grant that set up youth social programming across the United States and abroad. While working at K-State Anne proceeded to take classes to supplement some college credit she had already obtained earning a Bachelor’s in Elementary Education with honors. Before her retirement Anne used this opportunity to substitute teach as well as becoming an instructor and trainer for the Highland Community College branch in Wamego, Ks.

Socially Anne was very active in her community and abroad. She was a leader of her son’s Cloverleaf 4-H club in Fostoria, Kansas and inspired many area youth in this endeavor. She was also a member of the Fostoria Extension Homemakers Unit with many area friends and neighbors. During her son’s high school years, she extended her love of working with area youth from 4-H to FFA becoming a Charter Member of the Westmoreland FFA Alumni and later the Rock Creek FFA Alumni. She was an officer several times for the Westmoreland High School Alumni Association and along with her son Rob and Brenda Heptig helped publish an all-high school almanac and had trophy cases built to display the honors accorded her alma mater. She was a member of Eastern Star coming from a family with strong Masonic ties and enjoyed seeing her son elected as the last Worthy Patron of the Manhattan Chapter as well as serving in a number of positions in her own right. She was a township officer for Rock Creek working to maintain roads and cemeteries in that township; in later years this led her to serving on the Antioch cemetery board in rural Frankfort. She was a life member of the Onaga Historical Society. A member of the Arthur Barrett Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution and Mrs. John A. Logan Tent #6 of the Daughters of Union Veterans of the Civil War. As a “Red Hatter” in the “Flinthills Floozies” Anne had a great deal of fun with her fellow floozies! She was a member of the United Methodist Church and a long-time choir, pianist, and memorials committee member while in attendance.

Anne’s greatest joy lay in her family and that of her fiancée Harold Armstrong. She was a wonderful cook and many recipes handed down from her mother and elder family members made the tables groan at holidays and family events. She rejoiced when her son married his wife Lesa Ann Hugunin on June 8th, 1991 and organized a blue grass band and hog roast for their wedding. She gloried in spending time with her grandson’s Sheridan Graden and Morgan Blue Reves and mourned the loss of her granddaughter Mariahann Fairelight Reves due to a diaphragmatic hernia. She loved spending time with family and friends and for a number of years organized the Godlove family reunion. Traveling was also a passion and she went on several adventures with Harold and his extended family including a trip to the Country Music Hall of Fame where Harold’s image appears in the noted artist Thomas Hart Benton’s, “The Birth of Country Music” mural. She also went on a memorable trip to Isreal with tour guide former schoolmate Clark Tanner and several area residents.

In passing Anne was preceded in death by her parents, her siblings and their spouses, and her infant granddaughter Mariah. She leaves to mourn her son Robert and his wife Lesa and their children Sheridan and Morgan of rural Olsburg. Her fiancée Harold of the home in rural Frankfort. Also, Harold’s immediate family, Linda and Carl Dressman and family and Donnie and Jessie Armstrong and family respectively of Frankfort; Kim and Bob Seleska and family of Blue Rapids; Justin and Evangeline Armstrong and family of rural Frankfort; as well as Beverly and Corey Grosdidier and family of Omaha, Nebraska.

Respect calls are 5-7 p.m. Thursday the 20th at the Campanella Stewart Funeral Home in Wamego, Kansas. Funeral Services at Trinity Baptist Church of Wamego at 10:30 a.m. Friday the 21st with a luncheon and committal service to follow at the Westmoreland City Cemetery in Westmoreland, Kansas at 2 p.m. In lieu of flowers the family asks for memorial contributions to the Ronald McDonald House in Kansas City. With her granddaughter’s death this was a cause very near and dear to Anne’s heart.

 </figure>Cheryl Anne Godlove Reves&nbsp;was gathered unto God on Friday, November 14th, at her home on Spring Creek Road, surrounded by her beloved fiancée Harold Armstrong, family, friends and Pottawatomie County Emergency personnel. She was born February 6th, 1948 the youngest child of Sherman Roosevelt and Cheryl Margaret Seymour Godlove of rural Westmoreland. Anne lived on the family farm with her parents and siblings Sherman Keith Godlove, Muriel Patricia Godlove, and Elizabeth “Jo” Godlove. She spent a lot of time with her brother affectionately known as “Bub” as he was a confirmed bachelor and stayed on the family farm all his life.Anne was educated in the Westmoreland school system and graduated from Westmoreland Rural High School in May of 1966. A love of music was one of Anne’s passions and she was involved in dance and become a lifelong piano player after taking lessons at Cree Brothers funeral home where the undertaker’s dog often lay under the piano bench and growled at her. She was involved with many other organizations and activities during her school years and gained many lifelong friendships among her classmates.On September 22nd, of 1966 she married Dale Reves and they made their home on a farm in rural Fostoria, Kansas. The following year on March 15th of 1967 they welcomed their only child a son Robert Joseph to the world. They moved to another farm on Spring Creek Road a move of one mile and spent their time farming and pursuing jobs off the farm to supplement their income. Anne was a wonderful mother and homemaker and enjoyed pursuits as far ranging as mushroom hunting to raising the&nbsp;to raising the broilers for the Godlove’s annual chicken butchering after her mother passed. She encouraged an early love of nature in her son and they spent hours looking for fossils on Ostergard road. She and Dale later divorced.In her working life Anne did clerical work for the Pottawatomie County ASCS office and became well known to area farm families. She then took a job with the Pottawatomie County Treasurers office working for Faye Pittinger a member of her extended family. Having political aspirations of her own Anne ran a successful campaign for Register of Deeds unseating Erwin Scott and served a term in that office. In the next election cycle, she decided to run for County Treasurer and was defeated in that race. She then moved on to Kansas State University and worked early on for the Department of Anthropology, Sociology, and Social Work. Her next move was to the College of Human Ecology and her final disposition there was an Army School Agent Teen Training Grant that set up youth social programming across the United States and abroad. While working at K-State Anne proceeded to take classes to supplement some college credit she had already obtained earning a Bachelor’s in Elementary Education with honors. Before her retirement Anne used this opportunity to substitute teach as well as becoming an instructor and trainer for the Highland Community College branch in Wamego, Ks.Socially Anne was very active in her community and abroad. She was a leader of her son’s Cloverleaf 4-H club in Fostoria, Kansas and inspired many area youth in this endeavor. Janette L Sanders, affectionately known as "Sista," passed away on November 16, 2025, in Manhattan, Kansas. Born on January 24, 1956, in Norfolk, Virginia, Janette embodied an outgoing spirit, deeply rooted in her faith and characterized by her kindness, humor, and fashion sense. She was well-known for her giving nature, impacting everyone she met with her love and warmth.

Janette found great joy in time spent with her family, relishing every moment they came together from across the country. Her role as a doting grandmother was one of her proudest accomplishments, as she cherished her grandchildren, creating countless memories filled with love and laughter. She is survived by her devoted husband, Michael Sanders, whom she married on November 7, 1998, in Junction City, Kansas.

Janette leaves behind a vibrant family that includes her daughters, Barbie (Kelvin) Miller, Shaniqual (Al) Johnson, A'Brenna Sanders, Tonami Sanders, Tiffany Sanders, and Sheena Sanders. Her sons, Christopher (Pam) Cooper and Robert (Dasia) Cooper, also carry forward her legacy along with her cherished grandchildren Christian (Virginia) &nbsp;Cooper, Re'kwan (Jasmine) Cooper, Antwan Venning, David Broughton III, Jantia (Torrence) Best, Natassja Venning, and Talaysia Broughton, as well as three great-grandchildren. Before her departure, Janette enjoyed lively dancing, relished music, and had an enthusiasm for shopping that complemented her fashionable flair.

Perry Martin, born on August 7, 1960, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, passed away on November 10, 2025. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend. Perry was married to his high school sweetheart, Cheryl Diane Jolley, on August 11, 1979, in Millbourne, Pennsylvania. Their enduring love was frequently mentioned as one of his proudest accomplishments, alongside the joy he felt for their two sons, Gabe and Perry.

Perry had a distinguished career in the Junction City and Manhattan area in the automobile industry for over 30 years. Most notably, he excelled at Briggs Auto Group in Manhattan, where his talent for connecting with customers shined. His honest and easy going personality, and sociable demeanor made him a favorite among both customers and colleagues.

In addition to his professional achievements, Perry was a devoted family man who cherished the moments spent with loved ones. He enjoyed playing basketball, often ensuring that his sons wouldn’t get the upper hand throughout their childhood. Fishing trips to Milford Lake provided opportunities for bonding and relaxation, while family day trips to amusement parks were filled with laughter and cherished memories. He was a devoted grandfather who took every opportunity to support his family and their accomplishments.

Perry and Cheryl found home and comfort in their church community at Faith Tabernacle Apostolic Church. They faithfully attended weekly services and bible study sessions. Their friendships and relationships extended past their church family to include the local communities of Junction City and Manhattan where they were well-known and loved.

A Philadelphia Eagles and K-State Wildcats fan, he was a supporter of their teamwork. He also cherished visiting Branson to enjoy Christian plays and productions with his love.

Perry is survived by his two sons, Gabe (Ellen) Martin and Perry Martin; grandsons, Wesley, Reese, Blake, and Mackenlei; brothers, Daniel Martin, Augustis Martin, and Timothy Martin; and sisters, Veronica Pollard, Rozella Martin, Marjorie Gilbert, and Elizabeth Martin.

Her intelligence and organizational skills kept her family united and encouraged throughout life's ups and downs.

during high school, excelling in basketball and volleyball, drew the attention of numerous recruiters. As a breast cancer survivor, her resilience shone brightly, inspiring others with her strength.

Outside of her professional and family life, Cheryl enjoyed various hobbies that reflected her multifaceted personality. She had a passion for sewing, antiquing, and gardening, as well as being an exceptional cook. Her commitment to her church and community was evident through her volunteer work and her desire to spread kindness wherever she could.

Cheryl is also survived by her sister, Michele Bradley-Saunders; and her brothers, Charles Jolley, McKinley Jolley, and William Jolley. She was preceded in death by her parents, McKinley Kent and Mary Elizabeth Jolley, and her brother-in-law, Timothy Saunders.

Connie Anne Burt, 78 of Abilene passed away Wednesday, November 12, 2025. She was born June 11, 1947 in Abilene, the daughter of Melvin and Wilma (Weishaar) Howard. She graduated Abilene high school with the class of 1965. On October 29, 1966 she was united in marriage to WM “Bill” Burt. 

They were married 59 years. Connie was a farm wife and mother. She also was an editor for the Solomon newspaper, member of Solomon USD 393 school board, Girl Scout leader and 4-H leader and Solomon Church Altar Society, Catechism Teacher. Her most rewarding years were spent in the Salina Schools for years as a Para for special needs kids and worked as a beautician. 

Connie is survived by her loving husband Bill. Three children: Kristi (Ronnie) Brunner of Abilene; Laura (John) Killen-Wing of Colorado and Kevin Burt of Solomon. Grandchildren: Tony (McKenzie) Tovar of Abilene; Aaron Tovar of Abilene; Chris (Audra) Brunner of Hoisington; Sheri (Tripp) Libby of Maine; Lindsay Burt of Nebraska; Haley (Ty) Ybarra of Colorado and Jack Killen of Colorado. Great-Grandchildren: Chandler, Mallory and Colbie Brunner. Sister-in-laws: Sharon Howard of Hays and June Meitler of Tecumseh. Two nephews, three great nephews and one great niece. She was preceded in death by her parents; in-laws; James and Cecelia Burt; brother Chuck Howard and son-in-law Ken Wing. 

The family has chosen cremation. A Graveside Memorial Service will be 10:00 A.M., Tuesday, November 18, 2025 at Mt. St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Abilene. Connie Anne Burt, 78 of Abilene passed away Wednesday, November 12, 2025. She was born June 11, 1947 in Abilene, the daughter of Melvin and Wilma (Weishaar) Howard. She graduated Abilene high school with the class of 1965. On October 29, 1966 she was united in marriage to WM “Bill” Burt. They were married 59 years. Connie was a farm wife and mother. She also was an editor for the Solomon newspaper, member of Solomon USD 393 school board, Girl Scout leader and 4-H leader and Solomon Church Altar Society, Catechism Teacher. Her most rewarding years were spent in the Salina Schools for years as a Para for special needs kids and worked as a beautician. Connie is survived by her loving husband Bill. Three children: Kristi (Ronnie) Brunner of Abilene; Laura (John) Killen-Wing of Colorado and Kevin Burt of Solomon. Grandchildren: Tony (McKenzie) Tovar of Abilene; Aaron Tovar of Abilene; Chris (Audra) Brunner of Hoisington; Sheri (Tripp) Libby of Maine; Lindsay Burt of Nebraska; Haley (Ty) Ybarra of Colorado and Jack Killen of Colorado. Great-Grandchildren: Chandler, Mallory and Colbie Brunner. Sister-in-laws: Sharon Howard of Hays and June Meitler of Tecumseh. Two nephews, three great nephews and one great niece. She was preceded in death by her parents; in-laws; James and Cecelia Burt; brother Chuck Howard and son-in-law Ken Wing. The family has chosen cremation. A Graveside Memorial Service will be 10:00 A.M., Tuesday, November 18, 2025 at Mt. St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Abilene. The family suggests memorials be given to Village Manor.
